Police Fast Intervention Unit patrols with floating boats in Weyman

Kosovo's Fast Intervention Unit for Border Police has patrolled sailing boats at Wyman Lake in the country's north.

Police reported on Facebook that “is continuing with dedication and professionalism in implementing its general tasks, including the protection of citizens' lives and property, protection of human rights and freedoms indiscriminately, risk prevention, investigation and intelligence of criminal acts, etc, to the management of the state border of the Republic of Kosovo”.

“In this operating area of efficient and effective management of the state border Kosovo Police, namely, the Unit for Fast Intervention (NJNSH) of the Kosovo Border Police with its officials today has carried out patrols with floating boats on the Lake of Weyman”, police reported.

“Such patrols of the Kosovo Police, in addition to monitoring the water border, prevents criminal acts on borders, provide territorial safety of the waters, prevent illegal crossings, smuggling of goods, illegal fishing, and provide ecological protection of water”, police report reported.

Police say the <x0Bs committed to ensuring overall security in the country and management of the state border, based on its constitutional and legal mandate”.

On Lake Wyman, KFOR announced today that it conducted some specific exercises for about four hours.
