LDK MPs hand over Law for Sovereign Fund to Constitution

The Democratic League of Kosovo has submitted the Law for the Sovereign Fund to the Constitutional Court, Online Economy reports. The surrender was made by MP Besian Mustafa and headship member Berat Rukiqi, who said they expect a real-time decision.
Last Friday, Kosovo Assembly deputies approved the Bill for the Sovereign Fund in the second reading evening. 62 MPs voted in favour of this bill, with no vote against and no abstention.
The Kosovo government has said that the Sovereign Fund will be a new and effective mechanism for investment orientation, improving corporate governance, establishing competitiveness and quality, increasing skills and employment, as well as eliminating misuse and corruption in the public enterprise sector.
According to the Government, the Sovereign Fund would take over Kosovo's strategic assets. The Fund will have exclusive responsibility for investments in the growth of Trepca's value, KEK, Thrill Corporation, PTK's.
