Haxhiu: Marketing takes place within the Prosecutorial Council

Justice Minister Albulen Haxhiu said the deals made at the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council are the latest and that self-defense is necessary.

She said such cases have been publicly denounced several times.

So she said at the media conference, as she announced that last week she spoke to the Venice Commission rapporteurs in relation to the Law on KKP.

Haxhiu said the Venice Commission envisions risks related to the number of provisional prosecutors.

We have made two changes with the law that we have prosecuted in the Kosovo Assembly, first with the permanent composition of prosecutors. We have set additional criteria for prosecutors and for the processes to be monitored. For these legal changes, Chairman Glauk Konjufca had requested recognition by the Venice Commission”, she said.

Haxhiu before the media said self-preservation in the justice system is one of the biggest reforms. According to her, KPK's recent actions point to the necessity of self-preservation.
