Brazilian footballer is being accused of raping a 23-year-old girl at a nightclub in Spain.
The Barcelona court will make its decision about the former Brazilian star in February 2024.
But this initial session in two months could be suspended if any agreements between the two sides are reached, the Express writes.
“The injured denies there is agreement on the sentence that Dani Alves must suffer. He even adds that there is no financial compensation in this kind of sexual crime to alleviate personal damage. We know the prosecutor's request is 9 years in prison, plus 10 more surveillance and a restraining order for several years. Alves wanted to reach a deal for three years, but the lawyer for the victim, Esther García, doesn't accept less than 4 years”, the Catalan media write.
Barcelona's Appeals Court, in turn, has rejected the footballer's third request, which has ended behind bars since January 20th this year.
The defence of former Barcelona footballer argued that “has been spent three months of the previous decision to refuse his release” and that “has been paid a total of 150,000 euros to hand over the dealtv either, which should have brought about the application of the extenuating circumstance”.
