The match between Granada and Athletic Bilbaos, which was taking place at the “Nuevo Los Carmeles” stadium, for the 16th week of La Ligas has been interrupted in 17 minutes due to the death of a fan in the Tribuna.
Gatekeeper Unai Simon was the one who announced referee Miguel Angel Arias that an ambulance was urgently needed after a fan had suffered a heart attack.
Despite being given immediate assistance, however, the fan failed to survive being taken to the hospital.
Up to those moments the match was score 1-0 in favour of Bilbao, with the goal achieved by Innaki Williams in the sixth minute, but after the tragic event happening at the stadium it decided to take place another day.
