Zagreb's Dinamo will welcome the Balkans to the “Maksimir” stadium for the last match of U groups EFA Europe Conference League on Thursday (December 14th, 9:00).
The local team is entering the game after a narrow 1-0 victory over Rudes in the Croatian HNL on Saturday. Sandro Kulenovic's sting in the 76th minute made the difference between the two sides.
Dinamo of Zagreb is currently in a series of five unbeatable matches in all races, winning each of the last four. They have won eight of the last nine matches played at home.
The Balkans, meanwhile, have suffered defeat 5-3 as a guest from Llap on Kosovo Superleagues. First defeat of the team in the championship this season. Hamdi Namani and Muhamet Hyseni scored two goals to lead their team to victory as Ahmed Yanuzi also achieved. For the Balkans, it marked Albin Berisha, two goals, and Nazim Gripshi.
The team from Therada aims to avoid losing successive matches for the first time since March.
Ilir Daya's Balkans will turn their focus again on Europe, where, in the last match, 1-0 were defeated at home by Victoria Plzen. Dinamo Zagreb's last match at the Conference League was a 2-0 off-field victory over Astana.
The victory left Croatians second in Group C with six points after five matches. The Balkans are at the end of the four-point ranking.
We remember that the Balkans won 2-0 at home in the first match against Dinamo Zagreb.
To move to the next round of Conference League, the Balkans must win over Dinamo and hope that the meeting, Victoria Plzen Astana, will end in the draw or victory of the Czechs.
One interesting statistic is that four of Dinamo's last five matches in all races have witnessed more goals scored in the second part than in the first. The Balkans have scored at least two goals in five of the last six competing matches.
