Former Minister of European Integration of Kosovo Bekim Colak commented on the draft state published for the establishment of the Serb-based municipality Association.
Colak said that as long as the Kosovo government does not deny that it is the draft that has been submitted, it suggests it has to do with the real draft.
Citing Kosovo constitutionalism experts, Colak said the proposed draft undermines the state of Kosovo and creates a third parallel power in Kosovo, with a new Constitution.
“Time will show what will happen if the Association of Serb Majorities is established in line with the published draft state whose authorship has not yet confirmed the government of the Republic of Kosovo. But not denying this has hinted that that draft was given to the Kosovo and Serb parties by the European Union and the United States of America. Will it undermine the state of Kosovo? This remains to be seen. But citing the best experts in the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo and those who have led the Constitutional Court in this case, prof. Dr. Hasani, who has been chairman of this court, is a terrible outcome. He thinks that such a draft who has been introduced and is being circulated into public will eventually undermine Kosovo's citizenship. Draft-state creates a third level of power in Kosovo, rather, it says it will establish a single Constitution after the Kosovo Constitution cannot give thought to that draft 818x1>, Colaku told Euronews Albania.
