Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman Memli Krasniqi has held today separate meetings with the party's chairmanship, with PDK Parliamentary Group deputies and branch leaders discussing recent political developments in the country.
Chairman Krasniqi has expressed his concern for the lack of transparency on the part of Prime Minister Kurti in relation to the dialogue process, respectively, with the draft association state, which he has not yet shared with Kosovo Assembly deputies and citizens.
He said deputies of the Kosovo Assembly should be formally notified by Kosovo's prime minister of the contents of the document he has accepted, and should know to what extent the draft of the Association statute will change the internal regulation and unitary character of our state.
Chairman Krasniqi has reiterated the position for The PDK is unacceptable any statute, which envisions formation of association with competencies that clash with the founding ideals of the Republic of Kosovo.
During these meetings it was said that economic reggression, international sanctions and worsening citizens' welfare are just some of the consequences, in addition to the failure in dialogue, which result from the misgovernance, arrogance and continued corrupt relations of government officials.
Chairman Memli Krasniqi has also announced to PDK officials about meeting with Kosovo-Serbia Special Envoy for Dialogue Miroslav Lajcak last week, who announced that he has asked the European Union to lift unfair sanctions on the Republic of Kosovo as soon as possible.
Header The PDK has said that at meetings these days, it has expressed a consistent stance that the Association statute should be in accordance with the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Kosovo, not to create a new level of power and not have executive competence.
