The United States has called on Kosovo and Serbia to urgently and seriously commit to fulfilling the obligations that come out of the dialogue they are developing.
“I welcome meetings that have been held to advance the normalisation process”, said the State Department's response to the Serbian-language Voice of America ʹ on the occasion of meeting Kosovo and Serbia leaders Albin Kurti and Aleksandar Vuciq, with representatives of the European Union and leaders of EU member states.
“We continue to strongly support the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, with the European Union's mediation, as the only way that will ensure their peaceful and productive relations and fulfill their aspirations for membership at Union”, the State Department spokesman said in response.
Last night, the European tributary, Scholz, Macron and Mellon issued a joint statement following meetings held Thursday in Brussels with the Vucinqiqi, divided Kurti.
They urged Kosovo to establish the Association, while Serbia has de-facted recognition of Kosovo's independence.
