Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party of Kosovo leader Abelard Tahiri has reacted after Prime Minister Kurti's refusal to answer parliamentary questions at today's Kosovo Assembly session.
Tahiri at a media conference said this behaviour of the prime minister was a direct attack on parliamentary democracy in Kosovo, because the MP's mandate is guaranteed and no one can determine the rules at home.
The parliamentary “The parliamentary question is one of the instruments of the Kosovo Republic Parliament deputy, who uses it for accountability by the Government, by the prime minister, ministers, deputy ministers and so on. The conduct of the prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo today was a direct attack on parliamentary democracy in our country, never happened, is unprecedented. You have no single case when the prime minister comes out and tells the MPs that I have decided not to answer you until the moment you do another” move, he stressed.
Tahiri has invited the Speaker of the Parliament to take action against these actions and irresponsible people from the prime minister onward.
On the other hand you see that the failures in this country are huge, they're huge. You see the poverty, misery and economic crisis that has engulfed the country. The biggest problem is that we have a unaware and irresponsible prime minister”, he added.
