Prime Minister Albin Kurti, through a Facebook note, has said that Kosovo is a success story in the eyes of internationals during the period he has come to rule.

He says Kosovo is evidence that economic development and democratic progress can move hand in hand.

The first of the Government has written that there is no creditable international report that has not recognised the country's progress in democracy, human rights, fighting corruption, rule of law, and good governance these two and a half years.

Kosovo is the testimony of the time that economic development and democratic progress can move hand in hand. There is no creditable international report that has not recognised our progress in democracy, in human rights, fighting corruption, rule of law, and good governance these two and a half years of time.

He says the EU report for the country of 2022 was the best Kosovo has had so far.

“Transparency International in their Corruption Perception Index has ranked us 20 places higher. This year we are in the highest position we've ever held. For 22 countries, we are ranked in the Media Freedom Index, according to Reporters Without Borders. In the first year of governance, we had scored record improvements in one year, rising to 17 countries, and in the second year, we have reached the highest ranking ever in this index. So double upgrade”.

Kurti says the world recognised significant progress in Kosovo, even for political rights and cyvi freedoms

“E for improvement in political rights and civil liberties, this year's Freedom House report ranked Kosovo first in the Western Balkans, the second in Europe and the third in the world. For the improvement in the rule of law, the second in the world also ranks the World Justice Project report, which for the second consecutive year of our rule, brings Kosovo to the Western Balkans first”.

But also in economic terms, Kurti says numerous international reports have enumerated Kosovo's progress.

The first “in the Western Balkans for Elexoral Democracy also comes up according to the V-Dem Institute's assessment. And according to the 2022 International Monetary Fund report on increased revenue collection without changing fiscal policies. Meanwhile, according to the World Bank, Kosovo, along with the largest support package (as a percentage of BPV) in the region for citizens in the face of inflation and energy crisis, is expected to have the largest real economic growth in the region for the next three years”.

The European Bank for Development and Reconstruction, which says our country is expected to have the highest economic growth in the Western Balkans for this year and next. And another World Bank report, that on the Technology Maturity Index, has raised Kosovo from Group C to that B for the focus in digital governance”.

Referring to some measurements of Balkan Barometer, Kurti says the Kosovo government enjoys the support of 56% of citizens.

“Two and a half years later, the 50.2% government of the national elections on February 14th 2021, enjoys the confidence of 56% of citizens, the highest among all Western Balkan governments, according to the measurements of Balkan Barometer 2023 148x1>, has written away from Kurti.

Two and a half years of governance, through the international goal.

Kosovo is evidence of time that economic development and...
