Rama: Kosovo finally did the right thing in Brussels

Albania's Prime Minister, Edi Rama, has said Kosovo did the right thing at yesterday's Brussels meeting.

According to Rama, with this move Kosovo is in a better position, while adding that it is time for Serbia to do the same, Klankosova reported.tv.

The wisdom of the Albanian people, and not only it actually, learns that “is better late than ever”. I cannot hide my satisfaction that the Kosovo leadership finally did the right thing at yesterday's Brussels meeting! Wisely accepting the EU proposal on 21 October, Kosovo today is in a much better position”, Rama wrote.

This is a very important step forward. It is the critical time for Serbia to do the same. Everything accepted and agreed so far must be implemented without delay. I call on our Western partners to keep this moment and push the parties towards the final settlement. Stop looking at your finger while your finger points to the moon”

The Albanian prime minister argued that old and dangerous talks must be avoided.

“Enough with the same old and dangerous talk. Enough with the avoiding of peace and the ghost food of the past for the sake of domestic politics. Look not too far from here what happens to those who avoid peace and engage in <x1-> all or nothing” games. We need peace, stability and co-operation in this neighbourhood of Europe. Make peace with God and look forward!”, Albanian Prime Minister Rama wrote on the X platform.
