Protests, strikes from November 8th warned by some private sector workers

Four trade workers' unions will make a decision on November 8th to go on strike because of not meeting the requirements for salary growth. Private Sector Workers' Union Chairman Yusuf Azemi said that after the decision of all unions, the Pristina municipality's technical workers, the KKMF in Pristina, the technical workers of the University of Pristina and those of the Students Centre will enter the strike.
Azemi said the decision will be made by November 8th, or the date of introduction to protests and strikes will be set.
All the representatives are to be given a 10-day deadline or it's not the deadline for them to be given, but the deadline for us to prepare, and after 10 days to come here and make the decision of protests or strikes. He stressed that if these institutions do not offer salaries to 450 euros then these workers would generally release their jobs.
The chairman of the union association of technical workers of the University of Pristina, Arsim Djindovci, said there is much pressure from workers to hold the strike because with these low salaries in Kosovo, there is no living.
He said there are two roads, to raise wages, or to take the path of migration all of them.
Family Medicine Centre representative Kumrije Shaban said they are angry about the wages they receive, and are seeking protests because according to the fact that these salaries are not living.
