Police Director: There has been no agreement on leaving Banjska's terrorist group

Kosovo Police General Director Gazmend Hoxha said that Kosovo has facts, which testify that the state of Serbia and Serbia's Army have given full support to former Serbian List Deputy Chairman Milan Radojciq, who has organised and participated in the September 24th attack on Kosovo Police in Banjska, where Sergeant Africa Bulnjak was killed.

Hoxha said their goal has been to create a new reality in Kosovo.

He announced that possible involvement of some who may be from Russia is also being investigated.

We've been working on intelligent information that's been public before. The signs -- "Zez" -- have been seen across northern Kosovo, slogans written by the Northern Brigade and Civil Protection -- have had such signs. And there has been continued support from groups that have gone to fight in Ukraine, as well as persons who have gone to fight voluntarily on Russia's side are persons from Serbia. What we can confirm is that some of the weapons and equipment that have been confiscated are Russian production. The four-front engines that have been confiscated are Russian production and appear to have been donated to Serbia's military and police from Russia”, Hoxha said in an interview for Radio Free Europe.

He said the police have managed to identify over 30 people who have been active in the armed attack on Banjska on a critical day.

Hoxha said the identification of all persons involved in the terrorist attack is continuing.

He said there was no agreement, or co-ordination for the escape of the terrorist group from Banjska.

There was no agreement. We've asked them several times to surrender, but they have refused and fired several shots of fire in our direction. So there was no communication of the creation of the hall to remove them. We have contacted Banjsca Monastery overseer, Father Danilo, but he has failed to obey. But we cannot allow someone who kills the Kosovo police, we create opportunities to leave without giving [the responsibility for the work done. The terrain, which is very broken, has enabled them to withdraw”, Hoxha said.

During the interview, Hoxha also spoke of co-operation with KFOR during the attack in the north, as well as challenges in monitoring the border line between Kosovo and Serbia.
