The chief of the PDK Parliamentary Group, Abelard Tahiri, has declared that international agreements will not vote until the date for elections is set.
Tahiri, when asked why they are not voting international agreements, has stated they have only one condition for this.
The “Location is very clear our country is still in sections from the EU. We have re-evaluated it hundreds of times, voted about 52 international agreements, is about 860m euros, these are debts for citizens, public debt has increased. What we're looking for is to shorten the life of this government as soon as possible, we're not going to vote on these agreements until the days we agree that we have the date for the extraordinary” elections, Tahir said at the media conference.
Otherwise, last week German Ambassador to Kosovo Jorn Rohde has voiced his concern over the constant disapproval of international agreements on the part of the Kosovo Republic assembly.
At one of the parliamentary sessions, that of October 6th, several international agreements the government says bring to Kosovo through soft loans and grants, totaling 360m euros.
However, this is not the first time the opposition does not vote international agreements. Monitors at Kosovo's Parliament hearings say this is not a rare phenomenon and it's happened over and over again in the past.
