The head of the Kosovo Police Union, Imer Zeqiri, has unveiled the concern of resignations within police due to (no) working conditions.
He has read the letter of resignation of a police official made just two days ago.
The letter of resignation submitted by the police, which Zeqiri reads, writes: “announces that from the date 2.10.23, I voluntarily resign from work for personal and economic reasons. I have signed a contract with the Kosovo Police accepting payment conditions, where the Minister of Internal Affairs, we have been informed by the media that payment of retroactive risk, which did not happen”.
I've already been equipped with a work visa. I didn't mean to leave Kosovo, but my 420-euro salary is not enough and I've stayed in the police, thinking I'll be paid for. Seeing this is not happening, I am resigning from the Kosovo Police. I'm asking you to approve my request for resignation”.
