Today we mark the 26th anniversary of the student emblems, which, on October 1, 1997, shaken the foundations of then Yugoslavia.
This protest, organised by U SPUP and UP students, backed by all the people and academic staff at the top with UPP Rector Prof. Ejup Statovci, the mezash was clear: Kosovo was becoming one and together against Milosevic's crackdown and authoritarian regime.
The flame of freedom was already kindled.
This would be witnessed two months later, when the Kosovo Liberation Army was first released on November 28, 1997. The rest is history!
