Kosovo's Prosecutorial Council at the meeting held Thursday has decided to address President Osmani with an urgent letter for the decree of Blerim Isufaj for the chief state prosecutor.
This has been made known through an announcement on the KKP's official page.
“KKPK approves... Proposal to send an urgent letter to the country's president for the decree of State Chief Prosecutor, Mr. Blerim Isufaj, following the publication of the Constitutional Court's decision”, said the KKP's announcement.
This point by KKP members has been discussed with closed doors, without giving any reason why this point has been discussed with closed doors.
On April 6th, the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPK) had unanimously voted Blerim Isufajn for this position, while the decree for decree remains in the hands of President Vjosa Osmani. This process has prompted numerous reactions, with the NGO coalition: IKD, GLPS and the FOL Movement have called the proposal for Isufaj's appointment as chief prosecutor unacceptable and have proposed that the contest be repeated. Recently, the Constitutional Court published the full decision in which prosecutor Albanian Fazliu after the legal deadline had rejected the process of electing the head of state to fair courts
Meanwhile, at the KKP meeting, as well, there have been other proposals, such as announcing the competition for new prosecutors, the custody discussion issue has been discussed by closed doors.
Today, during the meeting, he has announced a competition for the advancement of two prosecutors at the Randa Crime Department and two prosecutors at the Department of Basic Prosecutorship in Pristina.
Such a decision was made by the KKP, following Pristina's chief prosecutor, Kujtom Munishi, reports “Justice Trust”.
In his request, Chief Prosecutor Munich has stressed that five prosecutors at the Randa Crime Department and three others in the Department for Mytur should be advanced to the prosecution.
However, his request has not been fully approved, as Council members decide to announce the contest for only four positions.
Council members also recommended to Chief Prosecutor Munishi that three prosecutors from the Anti-Corruption Unit return to the Department for Crime.
And so, The KKP has nominated the president's release from office by prosecutors Agron Galani and Merrishe Llugiqi.
Also, during this closed-door KPK meeting, prosecutors with a permanent mandate have adopted the report for assessment of nine (9) performance, with which it addressed the objections presented to this report.
