A new war between Hamas and Israel erupted on Saturday. These are the six most important points you need to know. Guardian brings them through a longer analysis, but briefly below, the Periscope translates...

1. What happened on Saturday at the border between Gaza and Israel?

Israel woke up on Saturday under the great hail of missiles from Hamas and Islamic Jihad two militant groups that, apart from the hail of missiles, took hostage dozens of Israeli hundreds. It was an unforeseen offensive, also leading to great criticism of the failure of Israeli intelligence. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel is at war and Palestinians will pay a heavy price.

Hamas militants have been involved in the midst of the community living near the Gaza border, killing civilians and soldiers. Unconfirmed videos, terrified Israelis, covered in blood, with their hands behind their heads as hostages of Panama armed militants, writes Guardian, translates Periscopi.

Hundreds of young people, who were participating in a festival in southeast Israel, found themselves in the hail of bullets. 260 bodies of murdered young people were discovered by Israeli authorities.
The “I've seen falling to the ground, all”, said one of the survivors, whose statement is broadcast by Guardian.

On Saturday night, the Israeli Defence Force said there are still around 200-300 Palestinian militants inside Israel.

2. How did Israel respond?

Israel has called army reserve and launched an air and land offensive in the Gaza Strip, where 2.3 million people live. Netanyahu, has warned Palestinians who leave Gaza immediately with a stern warning to the militant group Hamas, too.

Military planes have targeted dozens of buildings in downtown Gaza, including the Palestinian Tower and several Hamas information centres.

Today, Israel has suggested that total blockades have been ordered, meaning that Gaza will have no electricity, no water, no food.

3. Why did Hamas attack in that form?

The specific reasons for the attack have not been clarified, but in recent months, there has been an increase in violence between Israeli soldiers and Palestinians in the West Coast. Israeli soldiers have attacked Palestinian villages until militants in the West Coast have also attacked Israeli soldiers.

During the past week, some Jews have prayed in the al-Aqsa mosque in the old city of Jerusalem. The region around the chamia, is known as "Haraam al-Sharifʹ and is the third holy place for Muslims, after Mecca and Medina in Saudi Arabia.

For Jews, it is known as the Holy Temple, but they are not allowed to pray inside the object. Hamas has called the last operation on Israel ?

4. Why did the attack surprise Israel?

It is thought that Hamas may have planned such an attack for months, but it remains mysterious how Israelite intelligence had no idea that such offensive was coming.

This, after overseeing Israeli intelligence in Gaza, is remarkable. It monitors activities, communications and almost controls all airspace over and over again. Also, in the Gaza Strip, Israel also has large teams of its human intelligence resources.

5. What's wrong with Hamza?

The terrorist organisation Hamas has led the Gaza Strip since 2007.
Israel has now warned large - scale use of force to prevent militants ' activities and not just Gaza but also the West Coast and East Jerusalem. During the process, only in recent hours have hundreds of Palestinians been killed and it is believed there will be many more victims and also destroyed homes and infrastructure.

Also, kidnapping people as hostages complicates Israel's response to Hamas.

6. Does Hamas have the support of ordinary people in Gaza?

Many in Gaza want to live their lives free of blockades, conflict, and repeated wars. They're afraid of all that happens over the years, and so are the rules that Hamas dictates to them where they live.

However, many are willing to take up arms as hopes and mystery that characterize life in Gaza. They think such shares are the only way to fight for a better future.

Support for Hamas has not been tested since the last elections in Gaza in 2006.

The world has flooded with verbal penalties against Hamas and Israel's support in the right to self-defense. US President Joe Biden has told Netanyya that the United States of America stands side by side with the people of Israel in their attempt against terrorist attacks.

“My administration's support for Israel's security remains solid and steadfast”, said US President Joe Biden./The Guardian/ ♪ Periscope.
