According to him, conflicts like the one between Kosovo and Serbia are a problem for the region and beyond.
Michel in Grenada where the European Political Community summit is being held stressed that conflicts are not only a problem for those directly involved, but according to him they are a challenge for the region and beyond.
He said it is the EU's responsibility to ensure peace, security and prosperity.
“I believe that this platform of the Political Community can play and should play an important role in reducing conflicts and helping solve them, especially ... and between Serbia and Kosovo, because conflicts are not only a problem for those directly involved, they are a problem for our region and for our continents. We need to use this unique platform to build more trust, more trust among us, more peace, more stability, more predictability. The world is looking at our European continent, and some hope that they will fail, but many others hope they will succeed. Our citizens want us to lead and be a force for change in the improvement of daily life. And this is our responsibility as leader to show that we can work together to guarantee peace, security and improve well-being, and to approach all four sides of our continent. And I think this particular community is a vision for the future. So the vision of a Europe, which is united, which is peaceful, stable and prosperous”, he stressed.
In this summit, Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani also attended, who declared there is no reason to meet Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, before sanctions are imposed, following Serbia's aggression in northern Kosovo.
Shortly before the launch of a meeting in Granada, Spain, within the framework of the European Political Community, Osman stressed that supporting an aggressor, for whom there is clear evidence from 24 September, would not help peace and stability.
