European Council President Charles Michel from the summit in Tirana has called on Kosovo and Serbia to provide solutions to the conflict between them.
According to Charles, there can be no cooperation without reconciliation. He stressed that they should not let the ghosts of the past steal the future.
Charles Michel: You've made the target clear many times. We want to support you to succeed. We cannot let two-way conflicts hold us hostage. Their solution may be more painful than reform, but it must be done. Do not let the ghosts of the past rob you of your future. Tensions between Serbia and Kosovo have brought this back to first. There is no co-operation without reconciliation and we all know reconciliation requires political courage and focus on the future. It will be the spirit for the summit to take place in Brussels.
