The Kosovo Alliance of Business has held the media conference on the “7 days after the attack in the north and the impact on Kosovo's economy”.
At this conference, it was discussed the impact the attack had on the country's economy and business activity.
UN Chairman Agim Sahini has said the Alliance has closely followed the situation created by the attack, which has caused Kosovo 20m euros in internal circulation losses.
He stressed that from the collected data, total consumption has dropped 4%, businesses had 10% less activity, and that tourist visits and sales of real estate have dropped 50%. As he said, the attack also scared foreign investors.
Kosovo Business Alliance has closely followed the situation created by the disversant attack. This terrorist attack, aimed at taking over the vital points of northern Kosovo. Seven days after the country's terrorist attack, it left consequences in the economy, scared off foreign citizens and investors. Total consumption fell for 4%. Businesses reduced their activities by 10%. Tourist and family visits dropped by 50%. The sale of real estate dropped by 50%. The interest in foreign investment was 0%. Kosovo has had an internal circulation loss for 20m euros”, Sahin said.
Economic connoisseur Mustaf Kadriaj participated in the discussion, who said such economic estimates are necessary.
Kadriaj added that it is Serbia's goal to harm Kosovo economically.
