Attack in downtown Brussels, at least 2 dead

A man has opened fire in downtown Brussels.

At least two people, of Swedish nationality, have died.

Meanwhile, some injured are reported.

Suspect is on the run. This has been disclosed by local authorities.

According to police sources quoted by local media, the man who opened a Kalashnikov fire in downtown Brussels about 7 p.m. this evening shouted “Allah akbar”.

It's learned that the shooting was heard around 19:15 by Place Sainctlette, between Bulevard döypres and Boulevard du Ninième de league.

Soon numerous police cars and ambulances have arrived at the scene.

A man in a fluke jacket and a white helmet, a gun in his hand, is seen riding a scooter and leaving.

He allegedly shot a car before hitting two people in a cab.
