At this meeting, Osmani said the final agreement, which should have mutual recognition centralised, is aimed at improving the lives of citizens and achieving lasting and long-term peace in the region.
Kosovo is ready to continue, with full commitment, to be a constructive party, co-ordinated with the US, making proposals that contribute to reaching such an accord”, President Osmani said.
As Osmani and Cholles report, they have confirmed excellent relations with the United States, the main ally of the Republic of Kosovo, as well as committed themselves to empowering further co-operation between the two states.
Vice President Osmani has thanked Mr. Cholles for the proactive engagement of the United States in the dialogue process, stressing that increased American engagement in this direction is crucial to ensuring successful results in the benefit of citizens of the Republic of Kosovo. At a meeting with Mr. Chollet, President Osmani talked about recent developments in the country and the region, noting Serbia's alliance and Serbia's pronounced closeness with Russia and the risks this report poses not only for Kosovo, but also for the Euro-Atlantic alliance. President Osmani stressed that with Russia's support, Serbia continues to be a destabilising force and a threat to lasting peace in the region”, the report said.
Osmani at the meeting with the senior American delegation confirmed the historic and invincible partnership between the US and Kosovo, so this is a solid basis for increased co-operation in the military and economic arena. Given its initiative for Interstate Strategic Dialogue with the United States, formally initiated by President Osmani six months ago, the readiness to speed up this process for the benefit of the citizens of both states was expressed.
