Nehammer stressed that the Austrian state has the largest presence of troops in the NATO mission in our country.
“Austria has the largest number of soldiers in KFOR. We have about 300 soldiers serving in Kosovo. We support the addition of KFOR's presence in Kosovo and are ready to send additional troops if we are officially asked by NATO”, he said.
We are also willing to support both sides in dialogue. I am confident that both sides are able to de-scalulate the” situation, Nehammer stressed.
The Austrian government's first comments were made at a news conference after meeting with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
