The 59-year-old reportedly has been a potential candidate for the Portuguese and Brazilian nationals in recent weeks, with both nations taking their trainers away after the World Cup in Qatar.
Morainho has been with Rome since July 2021 and led them to their first European title at the League Conference last season.
In spite of interest from Brazil, Mourinho does not want to leave Rome and thus will not accept the offer, engaging in his project in the Italian capital, reports Gianluca Di Marzio.
One person who tried to convince the Portuguese coach of the idea was former Inter star Ronaldo, but his efforts were in vain.
Mourinho has been contracted with Rome until 2024 and is keen to continue building the project with the owners of the Friedkin family.
His presence on the bench helped transfer players such as Paulo Dubala and Andrea Belotti.
