Konjufca with the parliamentary delegation to the Council of Europe: We received support for membership

During the day, Konjufca has announced that more meetings have taken place.
“Today it was the first day of a visit to the Council of Europe headquarters in Strasbourg, France. Along with the deputy head of the Parliament and head of the Kosovo delegation, Saranda Bogujevci, as well as members Ariana Musliu Shoshi, Besimi Tahiri of Enis Kervan, we were welcomed at a special meeting by the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Tiny Kox and Secretary General Despina Chatzivasilio. We also held separate meetings with Commission for Political Affairs and Democracy Chairman Zsolt Németh, Chairman of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe, Iulian Bulai, with deputy from the ranks of the German delegation to the APKE, Knut Abraham, as well as George Papandreou from the ranks of the Greek delegation, as well as rapporteurs for the Western Balkans”, he wrote.
According to the chief prosecutor, at these meetings it has been discussed for Kosovo's application to the Council of Europe, the necessary support for Kosovo to become a member of the Council, progress in respecting and promoting human rights and rule of law, as well as other topics of interest in deepening co-operation with the Council of Europe.
“Holdings, open and honest, were good opportunities for revealing the achievements and objectives of the Republic of Kosovo towards Euro-Atlantic integration. We received support for our efforts to membership in the KiE, and the importance and necessity of membership without delay of the Republic of Kosovo in this organisation” was also praised, he wrote at the end.
