KFOR calls on Kosovo and Serbia to refrain from provocations: Search for solutions through dialogue

In an interview for “European Western Balkans”, its officials have suggested that KFOR continues to provide the necessary security framework for the EU facilitated dialogue for normalising relations between Belgrade and Pristina to move ahead of”.

What is now important is that all sides refrain from provocative actions and seek further solutions through dialogue. This is the key to sustainable security in Kosovo and for stability throughout the region. “KFOR has played a key role in easing recent tensions, remains extremely vigilant and has the skills and personnel to continue carrying out its mandate, while KFOR Commander Major General Ristuccia remained in close contact with all relevant parties” was stressed by the KFOR Office in Pristina. Moreover, NATO supports Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue “as the main platform to find a solution that respects the rights of all communities and to build lasting peace and security throughout the region”.
