Pristina Deputy Chairman Alban Zogaj has confirmed that the square on the “George Bush” road will remain closed to private vehicles.
But according to him, from January 8th to that section, only one lane will open in which only buses and emergency vehicles will pass.
He has clarified that Prime Minister Progress Rama's plan is for the square to proceed to the large post, but later to have a detailed plan.
“Mayor Rama has said that the square will be extended to the Posta right up to where the mosque is being built, but first we will continue with the idea that the square will be extended to the cathedral, but even after January 8th we release a lane for bus traffic, for the flow of emergency cars so that the circulation can be released a little bit. We've got criticism this month, but we've also got data that this guy has narrow throats so we can work in those” directions.
The pillars in the capital according to Zogaj are the cars coming to Pristina, and their number is over 130 thousand cars a day.
The solution to this problem according to the deputy chairmanship is for these cars coming to the capital to be parked in the suburbs and citizens to use alternative means of transport.
“We think that selecting columns is for cars entering Pristina, which are 130 thousand cars a day entering Pristina from outside Pristina to be parked in the suburbs. So we're insisting that cars coming from outside Pristina don't get into the center, the moment they park outside the center, the citizens are going to go into the center with alternative vehicles such as buses, public bicycles, electric trolls and so on”.
We're planning on working on the project so these parking lot can be addressed to the suburbs as soon as possible so that we can solve this problem. We'll also solve this problem a little bit more of the parking lot that opened in the center of town at the cathedral, and we'll insist that Prince Parking '%s' expand more on the outskirts so that the opening cars can stop as far away from center”.
Pristina's deputy chairman has also spoken of criticism by the opposition over employment in public enterprises, saying these criticisms do not stand because, according to him, they have been open public competitions and very transparent.
He called for their CVs to be looked at and not the past, as according to him, professional people have been selected in those contests.
“It doesn't stand as this critic to be fair because these competitions for chief chiefs in public companies have been open and very transparent public contests, some of them have also participated in British embassies and many other observers, we are insisting that professional people have been selected in those contests, and we constantly say the CVs of these professionals, put their political past aside because Kosovo is small and there is a possibility that in any particular case there are political proximitys. To concentrate on their résumé, the same is happening at the central level and the same reasoning is happening at the central level. Professionals have to lead with public enterprises, and we're watching this”.
Zogaj also responded to the principal's appointment at the “high school. Sami Frasher”, where he said this appointment was transparent after being observed by the civil society and the British Embassy.
There has been a very transparent process, President Rama has signed the process from now on we will have a new director in Gjimnazin Sami Frashire was also attending many observers of the embassy's civil media society, considering the process has been transparent and has already ended and will continue in other schools as well. It is not an easy process because there are always trends in these very important processes. We are maintaining transparency to the maximum of”, he said.
And about criticisms for high prices in “Subterranean Parching” Zogaj said the idea has been that prices have been the same as publico-private ones.
The “Ide has been equal to the parking lot that's with the most public-privates equal to Pristina Parking. If you park in the public parking lot today you have a euro watch, the same logic has been followed by public-private parking lot so a euro hour. There have also been demands for annual parking lots, especially from large businesses, large businesses around them have asked to pay their annual subscriptions. Most citizens use parking lots for an hour or two, which is the equivalent of what happens in public parking. This has been the logic of not having any competition in price”.
Zogaj, in this interview, also spoke of the one-year achievements of the leadership of the Democratic League of Kosovo, where he said this year has been a dynamic year but that there have been many challenges, EO reports.
“A year of Rama governance has really been a dynamic year with many jobs, many processes, but also with challenges, one of them is high inflation that has hit the whole country, but also the Pristina municipality. There's been some absurdity this year where many private sector firms have withdrawn from jobs in the field because of high prices this year, so it has to cut or cut down on 30 contracts with the private sector, which is normally a waste of time, we've lost money because it's taken all those processes to rebuild, resign contracts and come back to our new high prices. Despite the challenges we've had, we still have managed to break several records in municipal governance, we've processed over 300 procurement processes, over 150 contracts signed this year with nearly 22m euros in contract signing”.
