According to the victim's statement, which the investigative judge considers “strong and persistent”, the player has forcibly placed him in a bathroom located in a private room at the Sutton nightclub in Barcelona on the night of 30-31 December.
Danny Alves is facing a suspected assault crime. Punishments range from four to twelve years in prison.
The footballer admits he was at discotheque, but claims it has been for a short period of time and denies the sexual assault attributed to the victim.
Meanwhile, his club, Pumas, has cut Danny Alves' contract.
