But, initially, the team from Suhareka started European competitions at the Champions League qualifying.
Since the first circle, the Balkans were eliminated from Zalgiris. The first meeting, played in Pristina, ended 1:1, until Lithuania won locals 1:0, after the follow-up.
This elimination led oranges to continue in the Conference League.
Their first opponent at this stage was La Fiorina, who without any difficulty overcame him on the trip and 6:0 in the capital.
Then, in the next round, the Suharek had business with Klaxwick. At the first meeting at stadium “Fadil Vokri”, ours won 3:2, until the trip suffered 2:1, but thanks to penalising Kosovars passed away.
The crucial and historic Balkan match played against the Albanian team Skopje.
Ilir Daya's confidences were best shown at two meetings, triumphed at 2:1 and 1:0, and with a general score of 3:1 passed through the phase of the Conference League groups.
The Balkans were placed in Group G along with Sivaspor, Cliu and Slavia Prague. Out of the six held matches, the Suhareks achieved a victory, a draw of four losses, gathering four points, which were not enough to move into the phase of direct elimination.
Three other Kosovo teams -- Drita, Gjilan and Llap -- participated in the Conference League as the Cup winner.
The light was able to pass through a phase. Gjilanas faced Inter Turk, the first meeting was lost by 1:0, until the return to the “Stadium, Fadil Vokri”, triumphed in 30.
But then, the blue whites met with the Royal Antwerp. The first match was closed without goals, and on that return they were defeated at home 2.0.
Good showing didn't have two other Kosovo teams. Like Gnjilan, both Llap and Llap were eliminated in the first circle. The Reds from Gjilan were eliminated from Liepaya. They started this campaign well, they won the first 1:0 meeting, but in that second they failed 3:1.
On the other hand, the trip's Llap suffered 2.0 against Budocnost, and at home they equalled 2:2. /Gazza Express/
