Today's INSTAT data shows that the number of foreign citizens entering Albania during 2022 is 7,543,817, increasing by 32,6%, compared to 2021.
But in the same period, the number of Albanians traveling abroad marked significant increases. The data shows that the number of Albanian citizens released from Albania in 2022 is 5,882,007 people, increasing 40,4%, compared to the previous year.
During 2022, of the countries that have the highest citizens' access to Albania, Spain has had the highest growth of 3.6 times and England at 85.9%, while Switzerland has had the lowest growth of 14,3%, compared to the same period in 2021.
Kosovo continues to be the main one where, for January-November, Kosovo Albanians scored over 3 million, with 20% growth in proportion to 2021.
In second and third places are northern Macedonia and Italy, with 19% growth and 74%, numbering 631 thousand and 561 thousand citizens' entry from these countries.
More detailed data shows that the number of foreign citizens who entered from the air points has increased by 71.5%, compared to the same period a year ago, from sea points has increased by 42.6%, compared to the same period a year ago, and, from the land border points, increased by 27.9%, compared to the same period a year ago.
