According to him, Serbia will have problems even if it accepts or refuses Kosovo to join the UN.
If we accept, you will never be able to get us out of the UN. If we refuse, we will isolate ourselves. Everything has its consequences”, Vuciq said on September 19th.
Serbia's president said that during the visit to Belgrade by the European Union's special envoy for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, he was offered a document, but he refused to accept it.
All published on the Albanian Post portal is correct, I can't. I don't remember everything that was written on those four pages. I knew I should not accept that document”, Vuciq said, saying the Serbian side did not disclose this document, Rel reports.
Over the weekend, a document said to be “-the new” proposed dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia was published.
Dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia has started in 2011 and aims to fully normalise reports.
The parties have major differences in the outcome of this process. While Kosovo wants a final agreement to include mutual recognition, Serbia has said it wants a compromise solution, without specifying what such a solution would mean.
Otherwise, Vuciq will attend the 77th meeting of the UN General Assembly to be held in New York on 23 September. He will give a speech on September 21st during a debate by world leaders.
