Serbian opposition media: EU has put ultimatum on Serbia

Serbia's President Aleksandar Vucic will have only one year's deadline to sign an agreement with Kosovo and a day deadline to impose sanctions on Russia, shortly after the new government is formed at the helm with Ana Brnabic. “Vucic has one day since the government's formation to impose sanctions and measures [...]
“Vukic has one day from forming the government to impose sanctions and other restrictive measures against Russia and Belarus and one year to sign a legally binding agreement with Pristina”.
So at least the Serbian medium claims '%Danas', calling into diplomatic sources.
If Serbia is not ready to harmonise foreign policies with those of the European Union, then it will face EU restrictive measures.
“If the European Union rules for sanctions, the first step will be to stop the flow of money in Serbia, then annul Schengen, halt negotiations for EU membership, and then sanctions” come.
On the other hand, Vucic will count on the support of the authoritarian leader in Hungary, Victor Orban and EU Commissioner Oliver Varjelj if the EU decides to take such action.
Aleksandar Vucic's “hopes in Victor Orban's support to block it either through the EU Council or through European Commissioner for Neighborship and Enlargement Oliver Warelj”.
Although the chances that the EU imposes sanctions on Serbia are slim, according to Serbian media sources, what can happen is for the European Parliament to adopt a resolution to suspend Serbia's EU membership negotiations.
The EU's “Parliament is cheaper to adopt a resolution calling on the EU Commission and the EU Council to suspend negotiations, and in the midst of the crisis in Ukraine, it will have the support of most EU citizens”.
