With the draft law on the salaries of civil servants, the highest cofficient, 18, belongs to the country's president, followed by the Constitutional Court chairman with 17.5, and then the prime minister and Kosovo Assembly Chairman with 17.
For primary and lower secondary school teachers, according to the wage bill, the cofficiency will be 5.8. Resit Kushaj from the SBASK, says they are now interested in ending the strike and then dealing with the salary bill.
“We have accepted the law, but we as SBASK are not now dealing with the interpretation of the wage bill because we are now interested in closing the strike and implementing our request for public opinion, media and government”, says Resh Kushaj from SBASK.

The salary law was passed once in February 2019. But, a month before its implementation began, the ombudsman institution had sent it to the Constitutional Court for, as it has said, “the assessment of its harmonisation” with the Constitution of Kosovo.
