Albania's Prime Minister Edi Rama has declared that Kosovo is preparing for a heavy winter in terms of electricity and that Albania will support it as much as possible.
Rama, during an online conversation with citizens and the media, said that with the transformation of the thermal power plant in Vlora, it will produce 300 megawatts and the two mobile power plants will provide 114 megawatts, which is important for an energy balance in crisis conditions.
According to him, the two mobile power plants are as a result of major diplomatic work to the highest level and will start producing in January 2023.
“Those who remind me of Kosovo say that Kosovo has much bigger problems that are of another nature, which are problems coming from another energy production facility and is not the government issue today. But Kosovo has serious energy restrictions and prepares for an even heavier winter. Meanwhile, we are in close co-operation with Kosovo to give and receive, to support each other and support Kosovo as much as possibleHe said.
He said Albania will be net energy expert by 2030.
