Albania's Prime Minister, Edi Rama, called on the UN General Assembly to focus attention on cyber security to prevent the attacks.
In his address Rama, he pointed to Iran's case of cyber attacks on Albania in July and a few weeks ago.
At a time when a host of crises have plunged the world into turmoil, I would like to ask the assembly to focus attention on cyber security. The world today is inseparable with technology. Albania suffered a deliberately theft of data and paralyzing systems in July. An investigation conducted with the best expertise has confirmed that the attack was an aggression orchestrated by Iran. The Albanian government did not have elections but cut diplomatic relations with Iran. We call on the UN to focus more seriously on cyber security to assist in preventing” Rama said. /Euronews. al
