Osmani: Serbia trying to cause destabilisation through illegal structures in the north

The president of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Donika Grevalla-Schwarz, simultaneously Foreign and Diaspora Minister, has met with US Mission Chief in New York, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, who has discussed general developments in the region and beyond, as well as the consequences of Russian aggression in Ukraine. President Osmani has thanked Greenfield's ambassador for support and has stressed that Kosovo's partnership with the US is of strategic importance. Ambassador Thomas-Grenfield expressed gratitude for Kosovo's commitment to the summit for Democracy and the partnership testified with its stance on the case of war in Ukraine and the hosting of Afghan refugees. President Osmani has thanked for its steadfast support for Kosovo by the US and President Beden, who he met two days ago.
According to a Community Presidency, part of the meeting was dedicated to dialogue with Serbia, where Osmani stressed that Kosovo is fully committed to the dialogue process. Citing President Beden's stance, she has suggested that dialogue with Serbia should focus on mutual recognition.
According to the president, Serbia is trying to block progress in dialogue through construction, so in this context it has mentioned that the Serb side is stuck in the implementation of the energy guide, blocked the deal for violent missing persons and is trying to cause destabilisation through illegal structures in the country's north.
Both conversationators have agreed that it is time to end the UNMIK Mission in Kosovo.
