In fact, Minister Iron Murati was invited to an intervention in front of lawmakers on this very subject, but this intervention was postponed at today's Assembly of the Assembly Headship.
Opposition representatives demanded that strikers not stop their salaries until deputies from Vetevendosje insist that children return to school, because according to them, it is more than paying to teachers.
Meanwhile, lawmakers will again gather at a new plenary session Thursday. Although the minister of finance, Iron Murati, was meant to appear before them, it was decided to postpone this at today's chairmanship meeting.
In this association, Minister Murati was invited to talk about violating workers' rights in the state administration, with the ban on salaries.
Meanwhile, after the chairmanship meeting, PDK Deputy Chief of Parliamentary Group Enver Hoxhaj, speaking of the strike, invited Government and Unionists to find a solution so students can return to schools.
“to make a short-term solution, for months: August, October, November and December. In January it would have to be the Law of Salaries, which would have to solve this problem. Our goal is to get students back to school so the strike can be stopped but at the same time meet the minimum requirements that the education union has. We are a political subject that does not play the role of union spokesman. I think they've lost many days of teaching. I got the Education Ministry calendar and if I'm not mistaken, it's over two million hours lost so far. The year has 185 school days and has been lost almost 25 days”, said Enver Hoxhaj deputy chief of PDK GP.
In August, the Finance Ministry had warned that strikers could be left without salaries. RTK has made efforts to take a stand by the ministry on the issue, but they have not responded. However, Vetevendosje Movement deputy Visar Korenica, on the Info plus TV show in RTK, said there is no information about what will happen to the strikers' payments.
I'm gonna be happy to answer this question because I have no information. However I am insisting that teachers and children return to school because it is more than the payment given to teachers. It belongs to the government to declare this question and has obligations. Because when this happens, the dues come out of”, said Visar Corenica from LVV.
Thursday's session will begin with a review of several bills, until after the new session ends, the Assembly will resume reviews of points from unfinished sessions.
