Periscope has asked the Kosovo Police about statistics for this year, rather than how many cases of violence and harassment have been presented to the police.
According to police statistics, in 2021 in January-July period reported 59 rape cases, and this year in the January-July period 41 cases. That means within 14 months there are 102 cases of rape.

As for data on the number of cases of sexual harassment and statistics for 2021 show that 54 cases of sexual harassment have been initiated, whereas, in January-June 2022, 38 cases of sexual harassment have been reported. In all, within two years, 92 cases.
Remember that one of the recent events that shocked Kosovo is that of the 11-year-old violation of five people.
Then Periscope had found exclusively that the case of 11 years old was even more shocking. She was suspected of being violated earlier, which later turned out to have been trafficked in June of this year.
