Jasharaj: We have not withdrawn and we will retreat without our demands being met

The strike in education and administration continues today, against the intercession of the ombudsman, who is trying to find a solution between unions and the Government. Media reports that following the intercession of the ombudsman, the SBASK has backed down from the main demand of the strike, for an additional 100 euros, until the adoption of the Law on Salaries in the public sector and that it has accepted the 50 euros offered by the government are not true. This has been confirmed for Radio Kosovo by the head of the SBASAK, at the same time chairman of the BSPK Grevis Council, Nundman Jasharaj, who says the strike in administration and education will continue.
“We have not withdrawn and will not withdraw until our demands are met. And I'm a little surprised at the ombudsman. I have also been surprised by his statement of emotion and quick optimism when he said that the agreement would be reached. But the truth is we didn't get any official invitation to the deal. What the ombudsman offers, perhaps even in communication with Government, is far from implementing”, he said.
Claiming they have no invitation for meetings by the Government and the responsible ministries, Jasharaj says they are ready for meetings with them at all times. Meanwhile, with the aim of finding a solution for the strike, Kosovo will visit European Education Union General General General General General Susan Floken today.
“Susan Floken, seeing the situation too heavy and receiving information from us and the media, has left all activities there and will come to Kosovo today. According to communications with her, she has achieved communication with the prime minister and we believe there will be a meeting between her and Kurti. There will also be meetings with us”, Jasharaj added.
The general strike, organised by the SBASK in administration and education, has begun on 25 August. Meanwhile, with the aim of finding a solution and interruption of the strike, the recent days have begun mediating ombudsman Naim Qeyaj.
