Hurricane Ian hits Florida, 2 million consumers remain without electricity

Hurricane Ian, who has hit Florida, in addition to the major damage it has caused, has brought about electricity cuts for more than 2 million consumers.

Officials have warned that power cuts could occur due to downstream lines, as storm and strong winds erupt to the southwest of the state.

They have warned that the interruptions will continue until recovery operations begin, after Hurricane Ian passes. The storm was one of the strongest that ever hit the U.S. when it crashed on the coast of Florida like a category 4 storm with winds of 150 mph and a deadly storm of up to 18 feet.
