The most recent case of a cyber devastating attack, attributed to Iranian intelligence operatives, was an intervention of hackers into the Albanian government's computer systems, which began in 2021 and ended with a massive break in July, according to Microsoft's security investigations. According to information received from the cyber security firm Backdoor, the cyber-war leader of Iran Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) is a person identified as the 61-year-old Lashkarian Hamidre (Lashgarian), with a residence in Tehran, a university professor. He has a history of involvement in different IRC intelligence operations against commercial navigation and other illegal activities.
Last year, a group called Sayad Project was targeting Albania's capital airport, Tirana. A cyber anti-Iran group called Lab Dooktegan or Read My Lips discovered the identity of the person who directed the cyberattack like Mohammad-Bagher Shirinkar.
His nickname is Mojtaba Tehrani, sanctioned by the United States for his connection to IGRC.
His brother, Mhammad-Hosseen Shirinkar, is also one of the main actors in Sayad Group. He is said to be head of the IRC Intelligence Inspectorate, according to Lab Dooktegan.
