Grevist Council deputy chairman says there has been an error in union demands

The deputy chairman of the Grevist Council, Ali Gashi, for which general strikes have not yet been reached any compromise between the government and the SBASK, has said the government has the responsibility to care for the economic welfare of citizens, as the economic crisis situation has burdened everyone.

I don't believe there are unions that, with emphasis, promote the strike, but when the union requirements are ignored, all mechanisms must be used”, Gashi has declared.

Gashi has said in RTV Dukaagjini that she is ignoring unionists' demands, saying the Government has the responsibility to manage situations where there are requests from Kosovo citizens.

Huruglica said unionists are making a mistake when they're talking about a nominal sum.

“in countries where there is inflation, they have had to seek pay index on the basis of inflation, because in such circumstances when there is inflation practice index”, he has stated.

He has also described the demands of unionists for wages as fallible.

I see union demands, there's been a wrong reception from SBASK, because asking twice as much pay, it's like in the family asking for 300 euros for expenses when you have a 200 euro”, Huruglica followed.

He has said the government has inherited such a budget structure, and at this time inflation, others can then organise strikes and raise demands like unionists.

While the wage law has said there will be great difficulties in funding, as it added that this bill has some unclear elements.

“The wage bill, unclear elements, Article 9 which says the wage cofficiency will be determined annually by the budget that is in that year”.

He also said that within that law there are servants who would not have the increase of wages like others.

Among other things, he has stressed that the government is finding itself in an unforeseen situation because of the pandemic period and already the Russia-Ukraine war.
