Governor Mehmeti also unveiled the Central Bank's views regarding macroeconomic developments in the country, as well as the role of the financial sector as key contributor to economic financing.
Governor Mehmeti thanked Li and expressed the highest appreciation to the International Monetary Fund for the continued support of the Republic of Kosovo, in general and the CEC in particular, through the provision of technical assistance and the establishment of BQK's capacities, with the aim of further development of the institution. At the same time, the Governor expressed BEC's commitment to being a reliable partner of the International Monetary Fund and continuing co-operation in all respects.
Deputy Managing Director Bo Li commended Governor Mehmeti for maintaining financial stability at this unfriendly economic time and stressed the importance of using supervisory means for strengthening the financial sector.
Deputy Director Li also reaffirmed the International Monetary Fund's pledge to further support and requested that the independence of the Republic of Kosovo be maintained and maintained. /Periscopi/
