Renowned analyst and journalist Astrit Gashi has reacted after Kosovo Prime Minister Naim Ternava, at an emergency conference, called for an end to strikes in education, and according to Gashi and other Kosovo opinionists, religious communities do not have to get involved in state affairs.
Gashi writes:
What does Islamic Together and Headham require to intervene on how to resolve disputes between labourers and strikers?
In Kosovo these issues are separate -- and in this disagreement, which is hurting the students, they don't have to try to share justice with religious unions.
No religious union in Kosovo should pretend to take the role of taking the Serbian and Russian Orthodox Churches into the states of reconciliation, nor of Patriarch Irinej or of his followers to Serbia!
