Forecast on winter season in Europe: Weather similar to last year, without much snow

Severe Weather Europe's meteorological service has provided Europe's first weather forecast during the winter. Most of the continent is projected to have less snow than usual, and similar weather conditions await us as last year. Very low snowfall is predicted and much of the continent [...]
Very low snowfall is predicted, and much of the continent is expected to be less than usual.
Despite such predictions, this does not mean that there will be no snow. Snow cover is much of the continent in February 2023.
As far as rainfall forecasts are concerned, we can see that Europe has a largely average flood signal, with some dryer areas in the northeast. More rainfall is predicted in the Mediterranean.
In Europe, average air temperatures are expected in the west, with the impact of the nearby low - pressure zone. Warmer anomalies - slightly higher than average temperatures - are predicted in parts of Central Europe, growing northeast.
Looking at temperature probability forecasts on Europe, we see an interesting model. Most of the continent is at the average temperature interval, with a slight probability of temperatures higher than average in central”, according to the SWE.
Seeing last year, the prediction from this September update showed a similar pattern.
These projections provide an average reflection of three months of winter meteorological (December-January-February) and show the overall weather conditions. Even if models were 100 percent accurate, it does not mean that these conditions would last three months”, notes SWE.
