The distribution of cards for farmers for free oil for mechanized agricultural work, with an additional budget fund of $500m, from the social resistance package.
Prime Minister Edi Rama via a social networking post suggests that 77,000 farmers have so far been distributed cards.
“Good morning and good news that support follows for farmers with oil FALAS, where to date cards have been distributed to 27,000 farmers, and within September will be supported by 9,000 other farmers, I wish you a good day”, writes Rama.
The tax-free oil scheme for agriculture started earlier this year, with a budget of 950m dollars. With the social resistance package, the scheme was added to the fund by another 500 million.
This year, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development scheduled for the second consecutive year, funds for oil subsidies, as necessary measures in support of the agriculture sector. Currently the oil subsidy scheme defines as free oil beneficiaries farmers of agricultural cultures, such as wheat, corn, beans, sunflowers, oatmeals, rye, scented-medical plants, etc.
