Prime Minister Edi Rama has declared that cyber attacks on systems in Albania, according to him, aimed at eliminating data and destroying all systems. However, Rama stresses that the attack failed to achieve its goal. During a conference with journalists, he added that even the data that has been released, according to Rama, is not confidential.
These reported and recorded inflows of attacks that co-ordinate the entire digital revolution project have been on unsuccessful attacks overall. This is an actual combat attack on the Internet and all digital systems. A vicious aggression which has had a very clear goal of the eventual disappearance of all data and the unreturned destruction of all systems, leaving a burned ground behind. That's the conclusion of experts who have supported us in this joint effort and who possess the greatest knowledge today, the Microssoft experts, their super team specifically built against threats to cyber nature. The attack has not achieved its goal, the damage is much easier than the rate of aggression. Systems are practically back to work. The data is totally irregular in their sensitivity. Part of them have been published, government decisions, paperwork that circulates on the internal network and can be addressed with simple demand. There are no secret documents”, Rama said.
“The cyberattack has been aimed at spreading panic, disinformation and conspiracy theories. This war continues and certainly we are in the conditions we have to face on one side with other possible attacks and on the other with the necessity to increase cyber defence”, Rama stressed.
The cyberattack on Albania began in May 2021, where the <x0mmnistta.al” page was hit, which did not have a high defense because it did not matter. Recently online systems were attacked in July by paralysing several victims. For this reason Albania also severed diplomatic relations with Iran. However, Iran continued with another blow. The system was also attacked last week T The IMS and this created chaos at border points until the system was restored to work.
