UN experts present at the plant reported two explosions today near a channel that leads water from a reservoir to the plant for its cooling system, an essential element of nuclear security.
There were no injuries to the plant's facilities and equipment, but windows in a reactor turbine hall were broken, IAEA experts said.
On Monday, grants occurred near the facility's electricity stabilisation, but no damage reports were made. Other explosions were heard farther away.
The cause of the explosions is being investigated.
Agency Director Rafael Gross said the incidents show the situation remains uncertain and that immediate action is needed to reduce the risk of a major accident at the plant, which is held by Russian troops.
